2027 GRHS Graduation Ceremony

• Friday, June 4th: 7 pm - 8 pm (Noble Hall Field)
• Students should arrive NO LATER than 6 pm
• Student Graduation Attire:
  • Dress for the weather, it may get cool as the sun sets
  • High heels are not permitted on the turf
• Seating is not limited, standing room may be utilized
• No cost to attend GRHS Graduation

GRHS Graduation at Noble Hall Field is weather permitting. Yanmar Arena (1401 NW 3rd Ave) is the backup venue if needed. Communications will be made the week of the Graduation Ceremony if a change of venue is warranted. There is no seat limit required at either location, however standing room may be necessary/expected.

​​​​​​Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal - For all graduating seniors, including PSEO, ALC & GRAVA students, rehearsal will begin at 1:00 PM on Noble Hall Field.

• Friday, June 4th at 1 pm Noble Field arrive by 12:45 pm

• Cap and Gowns are not needed for rehearsal

• Graduation Rehearsal is mandatory to participate in the Graduation Ceremony

Students graduating with a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) will be designated as Honor Graduates and will be allowed to wear a gold cord during graduation ceremonies, and an asterisk will appear before their name in the Commencement Program. Students who graduate with a 3.75 GPA will be designated as having graduated with High Honors and will wear a gold cord at graduation, and two asterisks will appear before their name. The only GPA used to calculate this honor will be the cumulative GPA after first semester of a graduate's senior year.

Students earning honors distinction and/or GRHS Career Pathway completion, will receive recognition and cords/pins as part of the Thunderhawks Awards Night in April. Students are encouraged to display their distinction through honors and career pathways at the Graduation Ceremony.

Class rank for seniors will be calculated using the cumulative GPA after the 1st semester of senior year. The top five ranked students will be collectively recognized at the graduation ceremony in no particular order.

Seniors nominated by GRHS faculty. Nominated students who are interested will audition for the opportunity. A committee will select two students to honor their graduation class as Graduation Speakers. 

Information on Diploma pickup - (To be determined in May, check back for updates)

At a minimum, students are expected to participate in the graduation ceremony with: 

• Cap
• Gown
• Tassel
• Stole

Previous cap and gowns may be used for the current graduation ceremony.

Donations are welcome - Students are able to donate their used cap and gowns for future use. Cap and gowns can be donated in the main office.

Check with Mr. VanDrunen to confirm your yearbook order and make sure you have your submissions for your Senior Picture, Baby Picture, Senior Signature. 

Yearbooks are scheduled to be distributed the week of Memorial Day.

GRHS IB Program Assessment Calendar

To help balance student workload, the IB Diploma Teachers agree to have all major assessment due dates align with the schedule below. If variations need to be made to accommodate staff schedules or individual teacher needs, teachers will consult with their coworkers to ensure overloads do not occur.
