About Us
Grand Rapids High School (GRHS) serves 1,200 students with 150+ courses that offer students excellent educational opportunities. Few institutions of learning rival the academic, athletic and fine arts opportunities available to the students of GRHS, and all while maintaining an unmatched sense of community and personal attention.
In addition to high school coursework, students can also earn college credits while at GRHS through UMD College in the Schools (CITS) and International Baccalaureate (IB). GRHS is proud to be the only rural district in Minnesota to offer the IB program. Further options available to prepare our students for post-secondary opportunities include the Career Pathways program which offers classes designed to train students for careers in healthcare and manufacturing fields. Students receive college credit from Itasca Community College, make connections in their fields, and have real-world experience opportunities with internships.
We believe that all students can learn, and we are prepared to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, parents and the community to achieve this shared educational purpose.
